PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • To prepare students, seeking further education at graduate, Technical, or other professional curriculum and entering engineering professional careers, find appropriate levels of success in admission to and progression through global and rigorous education.
  • To provide students with a basic knowledge in engineering fundamentals and application of engineering required which may include engineering problem-solving, scientific inquiry, and engineering design to solve challenging problems in engineering and related fields.
  • To train students with excellent engineering knowledge so as to understand, analyze, design and create products and solutions for engineering problems.
  • To provide students with academic environment that is aware of excellence, leadership, entrepreneurship, ethical responsibility, recent technologies in engineering and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Department of Applied Science serves as the primary milestone for the student. The  foundation  of  engineering  education  is  laid  through  the  knowledge  of  basic  sciences.

The department takes care of core subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and other basic engineering subjects.The department being an integral and basic part of the college focuses on promoting the basic knowledge of science which helps in making responsible citizen.

Department promotes Engineering students to apply mathematics and sciences such as physics to find suitable solutions to problems or to make improvements to the status quo. More than ever, applied sciences are now required to have knowledge of relevant sciences for their design projects.

As a result, they may keep on learning new concept throughout their career. Engineers use their knowledge of science, mathematics, logic, economics, and appropriate experience or tacit knowledge to find suitable solutions to a problem. Creating an appropriate mathematical model of a problem allows them to analyze it (sometimes definitively), and to test potential solutions. Department has competent and knowledgeable faculty and well equipped laboratories..

ELIGIBILITY FOR BE ADMISSIONS

  • 1. First Year (B.E.)

    For Maharashtra State (MS) And Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) Candidates.

    • The candidate should have passed the higher Secondary Certificate (Std.XII) examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Pune or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics as the subjects with not less than 45 percent marks(135 out of 300) for open category in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics taken together (Maximum of marks obtained in Biology/ Mathematics shall be considered for the purpose of addition.) at the same sitting or any other equivalent qualification accepted by the University.(40 percent marks i.e. 120 out of 300 in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics taken together at the same sifting for Backward class candidates)

    • A Non Zero Score card in MT-CET (For Admission through DTE Allotment, as per DTE admission rules)
